Olive oil, one of life's simple pleasures
Imagine taking thick slices of Umbrian bread and toasting them over the embers of an open fire. Then rub with garlic, sprinkle with salt and drizzle with Olive Oil from Umbria. Wait a few seconds… and eat. Add a glass of good red wine and life doesn’t get much better than that.
The best rated European olive oils come from Italy. Olio di Vibio is a great all-rounder; lovely on meat like veal, steak or pork, on pasta or tossed in salads or just drizzled on bread as above. The type of wine you drink with it? Well, we’ll leave that up to you.
